 I. BUSCH GARDENS Tampa, Florida  (813) 987-5082  Although it's home to real-live lions and tigers, Busch Gardens doesn't allow domestic dogs and cats in the park itself. However, guests can take advantage of the free kennel service during their visit. Kennel Rate: It's free. The kennel is outdoors, but we've been assured that it's "heavily shaded." Guests are requested to bring a bowl and pet food (preferably dry) for each pet.  Park Admission: $38.45 for adults, $32 for kids 3-9 years old. Plus tax. This is the single day/single park rate. Special rates are available for multiple day/multiple park packages.

II. WALT DISNEY WORLD/DISNEY MGM STUDIO   Orlando, Florida  (407) 824-4321  Mickey, Minnie, and the gang would be happy to see you. And they'd be positively thrilled to put your pet in their kennel while you're visiting, since pets aren't allowed inside the park. Or inside most of the Disney hotels. Or on any of the buses for the park or its hotels, for that matter.  Well, at least the kennels sound nice. There are four of them at Walt Disney World, boasting air-conditioned accommodations and membership in the American Boarding Kennel Association. But they're not free, and using them
requires proof of vaccination. Dogs must be vaccinated against Rabies, Parvo, and DILP. Cats, against Rabies and FPRC.  Kennel Rates: $6 per pet per day; $11 per pet overnight  If you're staying at resort hotels, the overnight kennel rate goes down to $9 per pet.  Park Admission: $39.75 for adults; 32.00 for children ages 3-9. Plus tax. This is the single day/single park rate. Special rates are available for multiple day/multiple park packages.  Nearby Accommodations: DISNEY RESORTS  If you're staying in any of the Disney-operated hotels near Walt Disney World, pets are not allowed. But, as noted above, they can stay at one of the park's kennel. The only exception is this:

THE FORT WILDERNESS CAMPGROUNDS  (407) 824-2900  If you like camping, this Disney destination offers some sites where you can camp with your pet. There is an additional cost of $3 per day for these pet-friendly campsites. Campground Rates: $43-$64 per day, plus tax, in addition to the $3-per-day pet charge noted above. Minimum stay requirements may apply. : If you don't like camping, there are other places to stay in Orlando. See below.

III. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FLORIDA  Orlando, Florida  Go figure. They've got room in the park for all kinds of steroid-pumped super-creatures, but not for your dog or cat. Well, at least they've got kennels. The accommodations vary from air-conditioned indoor cages for cats and small dogs to outdoor cages for big dogs. If you're at the studio all
day, you'll probably want to drop by sometime during the day to walk and maybe feed your dog, as kennel personnel don't perform these services. Pets must be picked up within an hour after the park closes.  Kennel Rate: $5 per day.  Park Admission: $42.14 for adults; $33.92 for children. This is the single day/single park rate. Special rates are available for multiple day/multiple park packages. Nearby Accommodations:  DAYS INN AT UNIVERSAL STUDIOS  1-800-327-2100  Here you go: an affordable hotel located just a stone's throw from Universal Studios that allows pets up to 20 pounds. And there's no deposit necessary -- but your pet will cost you an additional $10 per day. Room type: standard room with two double beds.  Rates: $39-$109 depending on the time of year and length of stay, plus the $10-per-day pet charge noted above. Special bonus: kids under 17 stay for free, while kids under 12 stay and eat for free. Extra special bonus: they've got a kids' pool and a separate adults' pools -- featuring a poolside Tiki Bar. It sounds almost too good to be true.

IV. SEA WORLD  Orlando, Florida : (407) 351-3600 : If you want to take your family to see Shamu and the wonders of aquatic life, this is the place. But if you want to take your pets, the farthest they'll get is the Sea World kennel. Here's the rundown: the kennels are air conditioned. You'll need to walk your own animal sometime during the day, since personnel doesn't perform that service. If you bring food with your animal, they will feed him. And you don't need to bring a bowl; Sea World has oceans of them.  Kennel Rate: $4 per day.  You will need to know the dates that your pet has had his shots, but no actual proof is demanded. Pets must be picked up no later than 1/2 hour after the park closes. : Park Admission: $40.95 for adults; $33.90 for children ages 3-9. Plus tax. This is the single day/single park rate. Special rates are available for multiple day/multiple park packages.
