NACR Online Registration Services

NACR registrations carry minimal fees that help offset the operating expenses of the registry (such as website domain and server expenses, internet access, certificate expenses, etc. - fees help but do no cover all of these costs). Please note the following procedures and fees for NACR Registrations, effective July 2006.

*) Litter registration fees are $10 per puppy in the litter; there is no single litter registration fee itself. Registering the individual puppies in the litter covers the registering the litter, which then provides at no additional cost 1) the listing for said registered puppies on the Puppies Available NACR website page (NOTE: you must use the online requisition for listing registered puppies on the Puppies Page, it is NOT automatic with registration. There however is no additional charge. We have no way of knowing which if any puppies are spoken for or not) and 2) the certificate to be sent to the new owner once the New Owner Bulk Litter Form (no additional  fee required) is filled out when the pups are placed.

*) Litters to be registered by 3 weeks of age; The bulk litter placement registration with new owner info should be filed by 12 weeks of age for all puppies that are placed by that age.  Those not placed or any that did not survive, please let the office know so those pups may be accounted for in the database.

*) All litters and pups  are to be registered and submitted in a timely manner, regardless of source or background**, to maintain good-standing status with the NACR. Failure to do so can result in your breeder and puppy listings being suspended until registration submissions are brought up to date.

** other sources for obtaining a dog or puppy include for example, but are not limited to, a pick-of-litter stud fee pup;  a litter or part thereof from a sale with breeding rights retained; a lease of dog; a friend's litter;  a swap of pups or breeding stock; etc.

All registration information can and should be submitted online using the following online input forms. This also includes requests for puppies to be listed on the Puppies Available page.

Please note - for those of you that prefer, you can print off the online forms to use as paper forms to send via USPS to the office for registrations BUT - we do prefer the online submissions over paper, and your registrations will be facilitated faster by using the online submissions. Please note - for dogs with AKC info we will need copies of papers in the breeder's name with contact info, or a sales receipt from the breeder, to prove your ownership. Unfortunately we've found out that it is too easy to find and use AKC information that is not accurate; we must now require substantiated proof of AKC information.

$Please note$- when sending payment via PayPal to the NACR for multiple registrations done at the same time, please total what is owed and send ONE payment in total via PayPal. Each payment has a transaction fee deducted out of it, and when you send individual payments that means that EACH one gets hit for a deduction. If you total all fees and send one payment then there is only one transaction fee, as well as making the tracking and bookkeeping much simpler (which will help in getting the registrations processed and returned to you as quickly as possible). Thanks!
